Pros

Chill, relaxed, laid-back atmosphere. You have to obviously be able to make a sale, but it's all pretty standard. You learn their sales strategy rather quickly.

Cons

The district manager sometimes expects more from you than you're capable of giving. They tend to overwork already underpaid part-time employees.

Pros

Laid back, flexible scheduling, short shifts, generally fun customers, good training. Easy to get transferred

Cons

Not paid enough for the work we do (no commission), management overworked, schedule changes at the last minute, impossible to ever do "well enough," high turnover, managers are children, ridiculous new dresscode

Pros

40% discounts on anything sold in the store. Super easy job. Sat around watching Netflix with my boss most of the time. Pretty cool coworkers.

Cons

The job was super boring. I worked at a branch that had just opened in a new outdoor mall and there was very low foot traffic so the days dragged on. Not too great of pay but about what you can expect from working at a shoe store. Store was overstaffed so it was a job in itself to get hours.
