You have fun here. It’s a great place to meet people and you never feel like an outsider. 10/10 workplace environment. There is always an opportunity to learn and grow and be promoted. 40% discount is amazing if you wear the brands sold at Journeys.

Cons

Full Time Management works at least 45 hours a week, sometimes MORE without proper compensation. It is a commission based salary, however, the commission percentage is so low that you will never make enough. And depending on where you live, taxes will take a good portion of your paycheck. The starting pay isn’t nearly enough to bring in new employees. Most raises/rewards for management are given to people who sell first instead of people who’s main goal is to keep the business up and running. And that would be fine if they cared to also acknowledge the people who are good managers but don’t have the privilege of running a high volume store.

There are none!!! Awful place

Cons

Promised $10 which is awful pay to start but only paid $8.25. When brought to managers attention she emailed corporate and they do not care! Never paid what I was owed It doesn’t matter how much you sell in shoe sales, if you don’t meet your sock goal you will be taken off the schedule the following week. If you don’t meet your sick goal twice they will fire you!
