Pros

The company is all about working with your schedule. As a placement nanny your schedule is pretty cut and dry and it's easy to get into a routine. Unlike food service or retail you don't have coworkers to switch shifts with, but they have an on call nanny service just in case of an emergency. On call is also pretty cool to do because it's something different every day.

Cons

Challenges, probably just communication with families. Parents are always changing their minds about things and sometimes they fail to communicate with you. But the good thing is that CNT understands that and has your back usually. The dress code is a little dated but again not every job is totally perfect.

Loved working, dreaded dealing with management.

Pros

I loved what I was doing, and the pay seemed good for it - getting paid to play and clean?? Two of my favorite things to do.

Cons

Management was awful. I dreaded having to work with them, but luckily I didn't have to regularly. Unreliable. I'm hoping that was only true for the specific office I worked for, because what the company in entirety offers is special.

We appreciate your feedback, and are apologetic for the unfortunate circumstances during your employment. Each of our offices are owned and operated by local franchisees, who are supported by the overall brand structure developed by the corporate team. As we are proud of what we offer to both families and the role models we hire, we hope you may reconsider employment through a different local team in the future.

Don't work here

Pros

The only reason you should work here is if you literally have no other option. Unless you are about to be evicted onto the streets, don't work here.

Cons

-Text messages as early as 6am and as late as midnight all day every day, and you have to respond within 15 mins. Completely takes over your life-- and you're not compensated for that. -They charge clients extra for multiple children, but your pay rate stays the same regardless of the number of children. -Wage Theft: Policy is that you need to show up 10-15 minutes early and if the parent is late, stay for up to an extra 15 minutes without compensation. -Management "restructured" the pay scale, essentially cutting pay, and tried to convince us that we were getting the better end of the deal. -Their caseload doubled, and instead of hiring more people, they worked us even more. And tried to guilt us and manipulate us when we said no. -Driving long distances at God awful hours, often working 10 hr shifts with no overtime. -No professional development or trainings beyond orientation.

It's unfortunate to hear about the negative experience you recently had with our Atlanta office. Each CNT office is owned and operated by local franchisees, with ongoing support from the corporate development team. As we suggest and encourage our local teams to follow the brand structure and resources we have in place, it is essentially up to them how they choose to utilize these resources. That being said, it is in the nature of our on-call nanny services that there may be requests for on-call placements throughout the day. Backup care requires quick responses by nannies to fill the order, occasionally at odd hours of the day. If a nanny placement is more fitting for your schedule or desired flexibility, we offer nanny placements as well. We appreciate your feedback, and wish you luck in the future!
