OK Job If You're Really in College

Pros

Very flexible schedule Opportunity to interact with many kids and families You set you're own schedule if you're "on-call" It's good to put on a resume, especially if your major has anything to do with working with kids For the most part, it's easy work You enter your own time sheets online Other nannies (co-workers) are very friendly

Cons

No room for advancement and there is no room for negotiation of pay Management not always aware of your placements or schedules Very pushy to make you accept on-call jobs Do not show appreciation for employees Pay is not based on experience or education Do NOT pay for gas and they often require you to travel quite far for nanny jobs Bad communication among staff
