Pros

Unique and brilliant culture; encourages openness, honesty, using your intuition, being creative, trusting in your colleagues, promotion from within, innovating in tech and most importantly - feeling integral to JustGiving's core mission, whatever your role. The set up of the office is specifically designed to encourage hot-desking, minimise hierarchy and create spaces where meetings of any purpose can be joined in on (or at the very least - heard and understood). A fun and vibrant place to be everyday. I learnt a lot in my time there.

Cons

There can be occasions where a new product or change to the site is celebrated too quickly and then moved on from... before monitoring consistency/good performance thereafter. It is important to celebrate hard graft and getting public interest when a new product is out the door but there needs to be more checking in on how that is being received over time/further down the line. The connection to the product managers on this can be difficult at times.

Pros

-Inspiring cause; motivation is never a problem! -Inspirational colleagues -Genuinely unique culture that values how things are done as much as which things are done -Challenging and interesting work -Amazing office

Cons

You might need to figure out that being brave is a good thing. You will thrive if you don't play things safe, but that's not everyone's natural instinct - especially in a new role. My advice: go for it, you won't regret it!
