Pros

I enjoy my job and we do a lot of good for families, the ability to work from home is a huge blessing and allows me to get more done than if I worked in an office building.

Cons

There is little time spent on team building or pleasantries. It is a very goal data-action-outcome driven environment where numbers are king.

Pros

Remote work Talented co-workers Annual bonus based on personal review and company finance goals

Cons

Hostile Corporate Culture - starts at the very top Lack of commitment to giving proper time for things to work Overloaded workloads Annual re-organizations Annual layoffs Work culture fosters stepping over everyone to be seen, heard, and recognized - co-workers throw team "under the bus" to not take ownership - not allowed to fail to learn

Pros

Opportunity for growth and development, ability to climb the corporate ladder (if you are liked), travel opportunities can be enjoyable with decent daily per diem, and working remotely

Cons

Significantly lower pay than most management positions in other fields or brick and mortar education, cliquesare very prevalent, promotions given to “friends” over being earned, often the “for profit” side trumps what is best for students, very poor work-life balance...they will bleed you dry if you don’t know how to say, “No”.
