      Small company with a family feel that does fascinating work

      Pros

      Fast paced, dynamic place to work. There is a strong veteran influence that fits well with the nature of the security work K2 does both at home throughout the US and abroad. K2 is an employee owned company with team members that look out for, and support each other on the job and in their personal lives. K2 works on projects that are fulfilling and meaningful.

      Cons

      K2 expects much of their employees and it can cause some stress at times but the teamwork and sense of accomplishment offset this.

      Easy going company that allows flexibility in the workplace, no micro-managing, fast paced so you are always busy, good PTO plan, open door policy

      You have to make sure you can keep up with the fast paced environment or you will drown

      Pros

      Working with dogs, but the training the dogs actually have is poor

      Everything else - Owner is running the company into the ground. Alleges no money and no work yet jet sets his girlfriend (an employee) all over. Supervisors will stab you in the back by lying to management about you. Recruiters and execs will tell you how much work they are "going to be getting" and promise you full time, but K2 has such a poor reputation in the industry that no one wants to hire them. Still can't figure out where the $1.2M covid money they received went to, because it didn't go to the handlers that's for sure. They pay you a pathetic $20/hour when you are working, $15/hour if you are doing training hours, and $10/hour if you are traveling. I question the legality of their reasoning...
