Management has a strong open-door policy and is always willing to listen to concerns and suggestions. The culture is very positive without excessive competition or backstabbing. It's also a small company which means every employee gets to contribute to the direction and growth. Employees quickly find that you get back what you put into the company's development and those that engage tend to be much more satisfied than those who don't.
Cons
It's a small company so some of the perks and benefits aren't on par with larger firms. However, they do pay well by comparison. As a growing firm, there is also room for improvement in some of the internal processes (HR, business development, etc...) which need to be refined and formalized.

Thank you very much for your feedback, especially the areas for improvement, which are always taken seriously and valued.
The culture at KAI Partners is excellent. It is open, warm, and collegial. The pay is higher than most in my experience. We were all encouraged to bring new ideas to management and given the support to develop our careers. The Workshop is such a great place to meet people and collaborate with local Sacramento businesses. I felt like I was a part of something more significant than just collecting a paycheck.
Cons
Because the culture is warm and inclusive some of my colleagues interpreted that to mean they were entitled to their jobs and were owed job security. While it may “feel” like a familial environment - it is a business and people need to perform.
