Pros

Every now and then you get decent Area Managers and RGMs but that depends on your Regional Manager. As a manager, you can create your own team. You get to work with genuinely nice people most of the time.

Cons

Staff on minimum wage but the job requirement is above minimum wage. Unrealistic targets, line managers breathing down your neck constantly because of the way it’s being run from above which also demoralises the team from top to bottom. Hard, really hard to keep your team motivated as a manager should set up incentives and prizes for their team to keep them engaged and promote healthy competition at store level, however it is really hard to do so with everything mentioned above plus a low wage. So to sum it up even though theres a lot more to say...if you enjoy working as part of a demoralised team, with a very low pay in comparison with what the business is earning and constantly dealing with broken equipment that always fails to be approved for repair/replacement then look no further, this is the place for you. And yes you may have noticed that I have not even mentioned the customers in here which should be the main focus, because when youre part of such a “magnificent” team believe me customers are the last thing you need to think about. In what it concerns high level management if this company had managed a football team-the goalkeeper would be playing upfront. Leave you with a quote: “Demipower, ruining peoples lives since 1991”

The terrible truth

Pros

Biweekly paid bonus unless you quit, all negated no matter how you resign. Notices given are met with fingers to the door and bad references.

Cons

Targets are ever evolving, basically if you hit that number, the target is lowered. Zero support from 6 figure upper management that's at home by 4pm. Zero merit raises or any raises other than promotion, but it could take 6-8 weeks for "payroll" to pay that raise. I lost a great manager due to this.
