Pros

Great benefits, great pay, and if you stick around, you're likely to get promotions and raises fairly often. The firm is massive and wealthy and many of the offices and people reflect that culture. They make great attempts to be inclusive and diverse, though sometimes they fall short in the follow through. They provide yearly bonuses dependent on the success of the firm during that year, which in my time has been consistently good. Many roles in the firm involve intermittent travel, often to the Orlando learning center, which is gorgeous and a rich experience for all, but sometimes to other office locations across the country. When times are good, expect many events including lavish holiday parties and expensive venues.

Cons

In this role specifically, almost every person you interact with at KPMG will not be a creative. Your projects will be brought to you by individuals who hope that you can breathe life into their ideas, but there's honestly only so much life you can breathe into tax and financial videos. At the firm as a whole, though there is a carefully crafted culture of work/life balance, there is A LOT of work to go around and the firm isn't always great about resource management. I'm still discovering incredibly useful tools or important information years into my role that have been present all along.

No Work-Life Balance

Pros

You can work from home, but you’ll be constantly pressured to come in by management even if corporate is encouraging people to stay at home.

Cons

Leadership has no time to train, so you’re always out of the loop. And being constantly told that you’re not being efficient enough because the managers are working more hours than you even if you’re working 50 hour weeks. There’s no work life balance. You’re constantly working 50-60 hour weeks. Continuously understaffed. Benefits suck.
