      Seemed we were always understaffed putting staff and clients in bad positions.

      Thank you for recognizing some of the great people and meaningful mission of KVC. We are aware of the staffing concern and working on it daily. We are working both on employee support and retention, as well as hiring new team members. While healthcare in general has a staffing crisis and the pandemic has exacerbated this, we are nonetheless committed to making KVC a great, fully staffed place to work.       Pros

      PTO accrues in a decent amount of time

      Cons

      The environment is terrible. Staff are overworked and underpaid which leads to confrontation. The clients are violent and it’s an extremely unsafe environment.

      We're sorry to hear this was your experience of working at KVC. We have increased pay and actively worked on staffing from both the employee retention and hiring perspectives. It is true that youth behavior can be unpredictable at a children's psychiatric treatment center due to trauma and other mental health challenges, but regardless, we hold ourselves accountable for creating a safe, positive, supportive place to work.       Love this company, been there over a year now and had no problems. Co workers are great and the company is always willing to help their employees out.

      Cons

      Pay is alright, slightly below average for Bachelor and Masters level occupation.
