Pros

Benefits, pay is competitive, coworker rapport

Cons

Insurer and medical provider in one house- generally you will be scheduled to work 36 hours of face to face patient care. Outside of the 36 hours, you will have hours and hours of “in box” or remote care which is poorly accounted for with work hours. Management positions and not stable and change is common. Panel size ebbs and flows per the pleasure of the insurance wing of the company. Hours- offices are open 7-7 mon to fri and sat 8-12. I would expect full saturdays soon. Vacation planning during federal holidays is challenging. Expect to work Christmas Eve and the Friday (possibly Saturday too) after thanksgiving.

Pros

Great benefits package, good people to work with, flexible remote policy,

Cons

Doesn't feel like a not-for-profit type of company. Feels like a full blown profit-minded corporation. Way too much corporate bureaucracy, no recognition for lower to mid level employees (upper management takes all the credit - promotions and all - for your hard work). Job and career stagnation is massive over here too. The company is having trouble retaining a younger workforce, due to the company culture being stuck in its old antiquated ways.

Pros

The benefits become "golden handcuffs".

Cons

Not being able to see patients more than once every 4-6 weeks. They make you see so many patients in order to make a profit that there is barely any time to do paperwork, call/e-mail patients back..let alone go to the bathroom or eat. You will have no voice and need to keep up the pace and not lose your mind while doing unethical "managed" care.
