Pros

Flexibility and longevity. There is also a Pension.

Cons

They can be cheap sometimes when it comes to acknowledging groups. Also, what happened to the gifts shops. When I need a afternoon candy pick-me-up there's no place to go.

Burnout

Business Outlook

Pros

Excellent pay and benefits, no complaints here.

Cons

High caseload (7+ patients a day back to back), strict documentation deadlines, little interaction with one's colleagues, little support, no forum or space to discuss issues on the job, just seeing more and more patients. Patients end up waiting 4+ weeks for a return appt (3 if they are "lucky"), and many ask for more frequent or sooner appts, which are often not available. Burnout factory with little appreciation.
