      Holiday pay, Benefits, 401k, Health Insurance, work from home

      Cons

      Little opportunity for moving up. Annual raises being cut back. Little to no physical recognition. Departments are politically motivated when hiring from within.

      Pros

      Some opportunity to grow responsibilities. Some really smart people who care about students. Continued interest in learning. Openness to new ideas.

      Cons

      Typical slow-moving corporate culture with flavor-of-the-month buzz words and initiatives. Lots of meetings. Mediocre employees don't get fired. Folks aren't particularly good at professionally developing employees. Lots of talk about it but...

      Pros

      Kaplan definitely allows for a great deal of autonomy for employees who work remotely, which many of the sales/relationship management people do. Difference is seemingly affirmed at Kaplan, as well.

      Cons

      Very, very poor training. The training, even for entry-level employees, consists of a few online modules--that are essentially glorified powerpoint-like presentations. Then, employees are expected to understand everything. This is a falsity and a poor model. Kaplan is seemingly great for employees who to come to their respective roles with background experience relevant to their position. It is horrible if you do not!
