      Pros

      The pay scale is nice, and you work with big-name clients on big-deal projects.

      Cons

      The working environment is very hierarchical and "old school," and places little value on teamwork and shared achievement. Creativity is not a welcomed trait, and work-life balance is irrelevant - be prepared for Sunday - Friday travel. Management tends to have an aggressive attitude towards associates and analysts, and criticism is lobbed with abandon - thick skin is a required accessory. One senior VP openly admitted that there are 5 people waiting in line for every job, and most employees stay less than 2 years, so it doesn't make sense for him to try to keep people happy or build a better culture.

      Pros

      Since the Management Buyout ~six years ago, A.T. Kearney has come back strong, establishing itself once again as one of the top High Value Added Consultancies. With growing market share, a year-over-year growth rate and a continually expanding international presence, A.T. Kearney is a firm with fantastic opportunities. Between the bright talent and the relatively flat organizational structure, A.T. Kearney is a place to make one's mark.

      Cons

      Still only recognized as number 4 in the marketplace, so it can lack some prestige to younger clients and some staff maintain the mindset of the organization's position from a decade ago.
