Pros

Exposure to cutting edge management technology/ ideas You learn to become efficient at what you do Exposure to CXO level individuals in client organization You learn to become an effective communicator, facilitator and interviewer

Cons

Work days are VERY LONG. On some projects, I used to work from 8am to 1am weekdays and another 10 hours each Saturday and Sunday. Everytime I would think, I will put in the hours on this project, hoping that the next would be better, but the next project would often times be the same In order to progress you need to kiss ass BIG TIME. over time, often it is the consultants that kiss ass that progress fast, over consultants that are sharper, and more analytically gifted but don't engage in kissing ass. as a result, most teams are managed by managers and principals who do not have a firm grasp of the subject matter, and as a result everyone under them suffers. these incompetent managers and principals are always under pressure and resort to nastiness as a means to control their subordinates

Pros

People are A.T. Kearney's biggest asset: they are very bright (at par or better than at other white show consulting firms), easy to work with, collaborative, and easy going. Projects are interesting and there is huge variety. Culture is entrepreneurial and you can basically decide where you want to go.

Cons

Hours, like at most consulting firms, are bad. Compared to its peers (M/B/B) they are not that bad, though. Brand is weak when trying to break into new clients, but strong once the projects are done. Clients love it.

Pros

Possibilities to growth, Great colleagues, Sometimes you really feel that you are at the top of the world ;) Goog point to put on resume

Cons

You are constantly at work, no weekends, I have worked from 9 a.m till 10-11 p.m many times and it was normal there ! It is schoking for me and after 1 year you don't have friends, only work will be with you as there is no chance to meet with people when you are working there. So general in my opinion it is not worth wirking there for this money because cost is definetely too high ! I forgot to add that you are woking under great pressure...
