Pros

Working at Keeper Security has been incredibly fulfilling. If you put in the work and the hours, you can earn very well, and the effort truly pays off. The culture here is one of the best I’ve experienced—everyone is genuinely kind, supportive, and willing to help. Management is strong, approachable, and truly respects employees. You feel valued, not just as a number. The CEO is highly involved and clearly cares about the people at the company, which makes a huge difference. There is significant room for upward growth within the company, leadership truly supports work-life balance. Despite some negative reviews online, I have personally experienced none of those issues And have no problem taking time off.

Cons

Only downside is no 401(k) match.

Warning to anyone considering Keeper

Pros

None that I can think of.

Cons

I’m not sure where to begin, but I strongly encourage anyone considering a role here to read this review and others as a serious warning. Working at this organization was one of the most stressful experiences of my career, driven by systemic issues that stem from senior leadership. Decision-making and priorities are highly unpredictable and appear to fluctuate based on leadership preferences, which makes it extremely difficult to plan or do sustained, strategic work. Micromanagement is common, expectations are often unclear, and there is little tolerance for differing perspectives or learning curves. Terminations can feel sudden, which creates ongoing anxiety and instability across teams and negatively impacts morale and long-term planning. Work-life balance is very poor. Long workdays are the norm, PTO is strongly discouraged, and even when time off is taken, employees are often expected to remain fully available for calls, meetings, and messages. Burnout is widespread, and many colleagues I worked with were actively seeking other opportunities. My experience working with senior leadership in PR and Communications was also extremely challenging. Interactions were frequently demoralizing, feedback was delivered in a way that felt personal rather than constructive, and recognition for team contributions was inconsistent. This made collaboration difficult and added unnecessary stress to an already demanding environment. The marketing organization is significantly understaffed, with multiple key roles left unfilled for extended periods of time (including demand generation, product marketing, marketing operations, and B2B roles). As a result, employees are routinely expected to perform the work of several positions at once, which makes sustainable progress nearly impossible. If you take one thing away from this review, let it be this: please seriously reconsider employment with Keeper Security. While the job market can be difficult, the level of stress, burnout, and instability I experienced here was far worse.

We respectfully but strongly disagree with the characterization presented, as it does not accurately reflect Keeper Security, our leadership or our workplace culture. Many of the statements and conclusions in this review are factually incorrect. Keeper operates with clear priorities, high standards and a leadership team that is deeply engaged in supporting teams and driving long-term success. While the work can be fast-paced and demanding, as is common in high-growth cybersecurity companies, we do not discourage PTO, expect employees to be “always on” or tolerate the conditions described here. Our marketing and communications organizations are intentionally structured and actively supported, with ongoing investments in talent, resources and leadership. We are proud of the teams we’ve built and the professionals who continue to grow their careers at Keeper. We remain confident in our leadership, culture and direction, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify the record for future candidates.

A train wreck

Pros

There were no pros working for Keeper. It was by far the most toxic work environment. Expectations of 24/7 availability, fear and intimidation paired with gaslighting. People would be promoted one day then fired the next. Everyone is seen as the enemy the minute they leave or are sent packing. There are certain people in positions of power (HR, leader of Communications specifically) that will get you fired if you don’t praise the ground they walk on.

Cons

Pretty much stated above. Incredibly toxic and mentally draining. Choosing to leave was the only thing I could do to save my health.

We strongly disagree with the claims made in this review, as they do not reflect the reality of Keeper Security or the experience of our employees. Allegations of intimidation, retaliation or favoritism are incorrect and not aligned with how we operate at a core level. Keeper maintains an open-door policy at all levels of the organization, and employees are encouraged to raise concerns directly with HR or leadership without fear of retaliation. Decisions related to performance, promotion and separation are made thoughtfully and with care, not arbitrarily or as described here. We are proud of the culture we continue to build, one that values transparency, accountability and mutual respect. We stand firmly behind our leadership and teams as we grow.
