Worst professional experience of my life

Pros

None that come to mind. Likely there will be a response from Keeper disputing this review but this was 100% my experience. And what I witnessed in my time here. The worst culture I have ever worked within.

Cons

- Constant emails and slide decks from the CEO suggesting “there are 168 hours, not 40 hours in the work week”. Not an ideal way to foster work life balance and keep up employee morale. - Similarly, monthly emails from the CEO threatening layoffs - All of the above creates a culture of fear, and an awful work environment - My mental health was completely destroyed by this company and culture, and I know I’m not alone - Keeper will claim that the weekly firings happened based on performance. However people are constantly let go when above quota. - Goals were increased for the sales team, despite territories shrinking, and also not keeping the customers we sold to. Taking away the ability to sell expansions and upsells to try and hit an already astronomically high quota - If firings happen because of performance, then why did I witness multiple people let go during their (or right after their) initial 3 month ramp? - There was no conversation had with me regarding any kind of Performance Improvement Plan, or about performance in general being poor, or any kind of offer of help to get back on track (if needed). Just an out of the blue firing. Par for the course. - No allowance for home office setup - No 401K match - No reimbursement for remote employees cell or WiFi bills - Opinions are not encouraged, instead the culture of fear encourages bowing down to senior leadership instead, to try and avoid the inevitable firings. - Unless you’re willing to spend your 168 hour work week feeding the ego’s of the C-Suite, then you risk the inevitable wrath - Late night slacks, emails, and an expectation to respond to them is normal. - Training and onboarding is non existent. But you better perform immediately the moment you start, despite that, or else! - Health benefits are expensive and sub-par - On a whim, the CEO can decide to rip out any discounts provided to partners, and customers, destroying any channel or customer relationships the sales reps had worked hard to build.

We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not reflect the inclusive environment we created at Keeper Security. We want to be clear that we do not operate a culture of fear, nor do we expect employees to work beyond reasonable limits. Communications from leadership are intended to motivate performance and provide transparency about business priorities, not to create undue pressure. Keeper follows structured processes that include onboarding, coaching and ongoing feedback. While business needs and performance expectations in a high-growth sales environment can be demanding, decisions related to employment are not made lightly and are based on a range of objective factors. We do not comment on individual situations, but we are committed to fairness and consistency. We also continuously evaluate our compensation, benefits and support for remote employees to remain competitive within our industry. Many of the areas mentioned, such as training, enablement and employee well-being, are active areas of investment and improvement.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We take feedback about leadership, culture, and benefits seriously and are committed to continuously improving communication, development opportunities, and connection across all offices. Regarding benefits, our PPO medical plans benchmark favorably against industry averages in both total premium cost and employee contributions. Based on 2025 market data, our monthly single premium and employee contributions are meaningfully lower than peer averages, while copays and plan design remain very competitive. In addition, we have a strong pay for performance philosophy, making our total rewards package highly competitive for a company of our size. We remain thoughtful about evolving our offerings while continuing to invest significantly in our team.

Pros

- coworkers - remote work - holiday parties - high commission structure

Cons

- no training - no structure - admin changes every other month Beware, this is the type of place that'll increase your quota by 50% to then lay off half your team because of "poor" performance that same month. Super shady company.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear you valued your coworkers, remote flexibility, and our competitive commission structure. However we strongly disagree with your other characterizations of our organization. Performance expectations and quota adjustments are based on market conditions, company growth goals, and data-driven planning—not reactive decision-making. We are committed to providing structure, ongoing training and transparency. We continuously refine our onboarding and enablement programs to better support our sales teams. Employment decisions are made thoughtfully with multiple levels of leadership oversight and a focus on performance, long-term stability and success for both our employees and the company.
