Pros

Great product! The employees are hard working.

Cons

No real management structure! CEO and CTO try to control every aspect of the company. This company is experiencing growth and this type of management structure just does not work. CEO's step son has a management title and runs tech support with no real management experience that causes issues. Benefits are over stated, they are basic and costly.

Thank you for your feedback. We strive to make our company as great as possible. We've had significant growth over the past couple of years and see no end to that in sight. With such growth comes a few growing pains, but we're navigating the new challenges and finding success on the other side. Our CEO and CTO are very hands on, and really believe in digging in and matching the hard work ethic of our employees in the trenches. As mentioned previously, we're also a company that values the idea of family. We like to treat all of our employees like family as we see each other for 8 hours a day. We've gotten some of our best talent by giving a chance to employees who did not have formal training. We truly believe that anyone who is smart and works hard can succeed in any position. We can back this statement up by hiring many employees who do not have formal educational backgrounds, but have proven themselves as invaluable coders, engineers, designers, etc. As for our benefits, we are happy to offer a platinum tier BCBS health and dental packages (PPO, HSA, HMO) as well as a yearly employer contribution for the HSA up to $1500. All of our insurance premiums are subsidized by the company at an average rate of 70%, meaning that a single employee on our HMO plan only pays $41/paycheck (with 0 deductible) or $79/paycheck for PPO. This premium structure is actually above average for companies our size in our current market (as described by an independent brokerage.) In our current cohort, we are proud to offer the best and most comprehensive plans that are offered by BCBS with the lowest deductibles.

So many negatives

Pros

Location, snacks, catered lunches, good company to have on resume if you are looking to get your foot in the door at other startups

Cons

So many...first off there is not much of a culture. People in other departments don't really talk or acknowledge each other, not the most welcoming company culture. People in upper management positions frequently leave or are fired. Some people almost seemed brain washed into thinking this is the best company to work for when it is not everyone is miserable or scared. People will think you are insane for leaving and moving on...and by reading other reviews on here do you really want to be apart of a company where the ceo tracks people down and scares them into taking down their honest reviews. There is so much more I WANT to include in this but am honestly too worried now about being tracked down and threatened...

As mentioned previously, we at Keeper always welcome feedback of any kind, even if we do not necessarily see eye to eye. As Human Resources, I try very hard to foster a welcoming open flow of communication with all employees and wish that you had brought your views and concerns to my attention during your time here, as they could have been addressed appropriately. Just like people, all companies have unique cultures, and sometimes that culture is not a ‘one size fits all.’ While it sounds unfortunately like our company might not have been the best fit for you, the tenure and longevity of our workforce speaks volumes as to what kind of comradery and team culture can be accomplished when it is the right fit. If you’d like to address this more offline, confidentially of course, please feel free to email me at lauren@keepersecurity.com.

Pros

Awesome team to learn and share from, snacks, coffee, quarterly events. Having a strong mind helps.

Cons

Deadlines with bugs arising that sometimes you'll have to make up weekends or late nights for. It's not all bad, however.
