Pros
-had full time hours -work from home job -opportunities to advance -application process was short -they provide equipment needed -weekly and reliable pay -not enough training for some
Cons
I had to leave due to my mental health. Even though it is said to be a technical support role, it is more customer service than anything. The customers you deal with sometimes can be so rude, which is understandable that you would encounter that in a customer support role, but the difference is that if the customer is unsatisfied with the resolution, or Apple products, or just "feel like it" they leave you a negative review and you are blamed for it. Your chats will be examined to see where you went wrong even if you did the best you could to help resolve the issue. It is metric based and even though I had met the required metrics and had good performance, the way I was always examined to see what I could have done better gave me severe anxiety when having to clock in for work and at weekly coaching and meetings. This job is more a way to get the customer to be satisfied enough to leave you a good review, even if you don't even resolve the issue at all. You are required to take on additional responsibilities and go through additional training, as it is mandatory now and do not get a raise or adjusted metric requirements. Training and pay are not long enough for the amount of expectations that are required 3 chat concurrency. How is it possible to maintain all positive reviews, reply to each of the 3 customers within 2 minutes, switching from application to application, doing research, record the case accurately, and all do so without changing the required goal? There is no good way to support customers with 3 chats and then you get negative reviews and your performance suffers. They want us to have the personality of humans but be as efficient as robots. Technical issues or issues that are beyond your control such as weather or outages will be counted against you. This job will take a toll on you and burn you out. Good for starting out but recommend finding something else if you want a rewarding and fulfilling job
