      Negative work culture where everyone bad mouths everyone else; constant fear of layoffs

      Pros

      *Convenient location *Company will pay for you to get various certifications related to your role (and insurance in general) *Decent benefits *Wear jeans on Fridays

      Cons

      *Constant threat of layoffs/replacement by consultants always looms *Though a lot of this is hearsay, the general consensus is this company doesn't pay nearly as well as most others in the area for similar work. *A huge number of people are incredibly nasty and condescending; not to your face, but it's almost like high school with the gossipy insults. *401K isn't vested, at all, until 3 years on job.

      Pros

      The people I work with. The opportunity for advancement if you apply yourself. Good pay. Flexible hours and occasional telecommuting.

      Cons

      Some people get promoted because the boss likes them, not based on their skills. Lots of restructuring lately. Lots of rumors about layoffs.
