      Fine for work/life balance. Not as good for security.

      Pros

      Overall, the people were very nice. Usually the days would not last longer than 8 hours, making for a good work/life balance.

      Cons

      In my time there, there were several large-size layoffs, which made people nervous. It also led to projects being passed around without a lot of documentation and organization to accompany them. While the hours weren't long, working from home was only deemed socially acceptable if you had children. Finally, choices for middle managers often showed heavy signs of favoritism over merit.

      Pros

      The agents who worked in my office were always very supportive. Fronting managers are great as well. While the pay is low, there is a floor. It's not total commission

      Cons

      If a customer lapses business written years ago, you get chargeback whether you were paid commission or not. Hard work doesn't guarantee success. You also provide your own gas

      Good, bad and ugly

      Pros

      Good salary and bonus program. Use of new technology. Some flexibility in work hours.

      Cons

      Several reorganizations with a few of them resulting in unemployment. High stress and long hours. Personal Time Off (vacation, sick) is not very generous until you have been there many years.
