Pros

Lots of overtime (no choice) if you need it. The warehouse associates are good at their jobs and know what they are doing.

Cons

Supervisors and leads do not lead by example, associates are treated like they are not people but are just labor. Leads work 40 hrs when busy while associates must work 60 or more. Warehouse is like a military camp with Lead constantly micro managing your every move, with supervisor approval, to make productivity. Guiding principles and values are constantly stressed but not practiced.

Pros

Loved my job duties. They buy food for events and meetings. Working with a variety of people.

Cons

Management switches up schedules at the drop of a hat. Production numbers go down and long hours go up. Lots of backstabbing and people taking credit for work they didn't do. Morale low. When corporate comes, the show begins until they leave. Managment doesn't listen to workers about improvements that can be made. If you are not on the favorite list, you are overlooked. Lots of micro-managment.

Pros

Kenco corporate structure and processes are solid. They've created a sound method to measure and improve processes and efficiency, and are willing to invest in the infrastructure and personnel to enable any needed changes.

Cons

Company vision and culture is a difficult sell on third shift, three hours away from corporate headquarters. I was the only white male during the majority of the shifts I worked, and was frequently subjected to discrimination, and even open hostility while trying to do my job. If I'd felt vested in Kenco, I would have pushed back, but as a contract employee making the low wage I was making, it was best to move on.
