Pros

Challenging work and technologies. Many smart and driven colleagues to solve problems with. When the tech works, it's great.

Cons

Distant leadership team. Non-inclusive decision making. Inexperienced upper management. Too many egos to appease. Project directions constantly change. Strange personnel decisions. Inconsistent and unfair remote work policy. Funding concerns. Average benefits.

This team is full of some of the most intelligent & thoughtful people I have ever met. There are not many companies that are as focused on their mission as Kernel is. When I first joined I was struck by how seamlessly and independently each person operated in their role - from the office supplies to the neuroscience operations - each process is meticulously considered to make sure everything runs smoothly. Fortunately I have also had a great experience working with my supervisor who has repeatedly encouraged me to grow. I am someone who likes to learn and my efforts to take on new projects have been welcomed & encouraged. I am grateful as I look into the future. Overall a 10/10 experience and would recommend.
