      Great vision by leadership, some traditions slow to fade

      Pros

      Great leadership team, very approachable management. Patient focused care is very evident, and there are many initiatives in process to continue improving the overall patient experience. Lots of investment in staff/professional development. The faith-based administration truly believes in wholistic care for patients and this provides a very positive work environment with a spiritual focus.

      Cons

      The roles of Advanced Practice Providers are slow to evolve here. Very physician driven/focused. There are new opportunities becoming available slowly, but as with any change, nothing happens overnight. Salaries are also somewhat below regional average for Advanced Practice Providers for some roles/settings.

      Pros

      The support from senior leadership is excellent. The team at KPN (Kettering Physician Network) is committed to placing APPs in areas of practice that they thrive in with support and resources. KPN is very open to feedback/recommendations for improvement, and act on recommendations.

      Cons

      Physicians seem less accustomed to working with APPs within the network. They have all been very open to building a working relationship, but are unfamiliar with our scope of practice, etc. Joining the network without experience as a nurse practitioner, I found the salary to be a bit less than other offers in the area.
