Pros

Good benefits, very relaxed environment.

Cons

Smart, highly skilled and capable people can’t survive in this environment. HR (Top down) is excessively corrupt and discriminatory, very outdated leadership who have spent their careers inside the well, having no clue where the outside world of work is today. They end up hiring and promoting people like them - outdated and substandard. Even if they hire good people form outside, they don’t last long, get frustrated and leave within 2-4yrs.

Pros

You get a lot of time off. Managers will help when you ask.

Cons

Sales culture is very forceful. They say as long as you are doing the activities you won't be punished for poor performance, and then they punish you for poor performance.

Pros

Competitive salary Advancement if you are willing to drink the koolaid

Cons

First Niagara employees came with terrible bitter attitude and created a backstabbing environment. I worked for Key for greater than 20 years, and could not believe my eyes as I watched the entire bank change from kind and supportive to cold and suddenly could trust no one. Area leaders would play favorites and walk by you without even acknowledging you are there. Very cold and two faced. Even though they brag about how important work home life balance is, they absolutely expect you to work far over the norm and truly do not care about your life. I witnessed one area leader tell a new mother that she will spend 2 days away from her children for a manager meeting, and she "better think of something" to be there. The manager meeting ended up being a complete waste of time as we spent the meeting listening to how amazing they think they are.
