Pros

401K match, hybrid with 3 days work from home, good benefits, growth opportunities do exist but have become extremely competitive and difficult due to everyone wanting to get out of being an investigator now

Cons

- Quality Control has gotten completely out of control for this role. There has been a significant step up in 2025 for not only work load because we are almost never hitting deadlines anymore, but quality expectations. You have to be 100% perfect or your work means nothing because any return for any material reason has the exact same impact on your performance. You could completely fail a case and it is the same as if you forgot one small piece of data on a form or forgot to write a case note. You will never be good enough to satisfy most QC as they will always find something (which standards are incredibly inconsistent by the way), everything you do right means nothing if you have even a minor error, and the perfectionism will burn you out mentally. - Our teams always seem to get the short end of everything. Random emails from up top telling all risk employees to take off early for hard work but we have to stay because we are always drowning in work and stress. If you can it would be better to look into other areas of risk if you can because they seem to get more for less stress and work - Everything seems to go up (cost of living, work expectations, return to office days, etc), but not pay. For many ears now annual raises have been far below inflation. - Not great communication. Seems like QC gets told to do things they fail investigators for without ever updating them that changes occurred. It would be nice if investigators could get looped into such conversations since they actually involve their work. But instead they learn after failing a case and being told with damage to their performance score.
