A good stepping stone, but leaves much to be desired for career advancement.

Pros

PlattForm is a good stepping stone for people just getting into the advertising business. You are given the chance to get your feet wet and cut your teeth on many applications and situtations that you have read about and exercised in your college advertising courses. The majority of the people there are fresh out of college, so socializing and making friends is easy.

Cons

For the work that is put into the job, you will not see as much financial compensation for your effort as you would hope to see. When something is not done correctly, blame is a frequent hot potato that is passed along from person to person. Clients are constantly trying to whittle down the amount of time and money it will take to complete projects down to near unreasonable levels.

The good employees are overworked and don't get raises Cliques are rampant - especially among the employees who have been there the longest Family atmosphere? Ha! Try DYSFUNCTIONAL No teamwork - my boss sat and did puzzles, online shopping and talked to her mom all day on the phone Too many family members working there. When they like you, you are ok. But when they turn on you and think you're not "one of them" any longer, you're out the door

Pros

I found my experience at Plattform to be one of the most memorable jobs I've ever had. Not only is the atmosphere unlike any other company I've experienced, the job knowledge gained was instrumental for my personal growth. Plattform also has the best work culture hands down and the unlimited perks offered shows their employees are important to them (educational program to learn about others topics while at work, health and wellness program rewards employees for healthy lifestyle, lots of employee celebrations).

Cons

You had to wait a year to be eligible for the 401K. Not sure if that is still the case.
