Like any multi-billion dollar company, there are constant organizational changes that can create churn and confusion of who sales needs to contact for support. Sales also goes through organizational changes, but the changes are not as dramatic and you know what your job is. Go out and solve a customer's problem by selling them the best T&M equipment available. It's at the Division and Marketing levels where there can be some confusion of who is doing what. Again, not unusual for a company of this size at all. The con is more of a "do you want to work at a big company or a small one?"

The only way to get a promotion or a really good raise is to move to another position within the company. For the type of engineering I do I know I should be getting paid about 20% more. We used to get a 10% variable pay but the management changed the formula so that for the past 5 years it's been around 2%. They are constantly cutting costs, I wish worked for a company that was growing and adding value instead of always taking away more from employees.
