Pros

The children, sometimes. And also coworkers can be really helpful depending.

Cons

A lot of children on the spectrum that we are not qualified to deal with. Unsanitary conditions. Low pay is really hard on mental health. Management is not supportive or helpful. Favoritism is very present. Employees who are buddies with management get higher pay and better classes. Some employees are on drugs or drunk at work. Also, passive-aggressive abuse is present. No money from the company to feed the kids a decent lunch.

Great for kids, not for teachers

Pros

The job is fast paced and outwardly friendly. There are a ton of cool activities for the kids. And there are curriculum books that help guide you in your teaching. Very upbeat, and organized.

Cons

Owners take advantage of employees and treat them as numbers. They also overwork the employees and create a competitive/toxic environment for employees. You can never catch up to where you're supposed to be. Also anything you bring into the center becomes the property by law of the owners-materials, lesson plans you write, laminator, etc... the cops were called on a past coworker for trying to take home things she had purchased she was later terminated from the job. Technology is used to transfer information to the parents but is overbearing in the classroom for teachers. Pictures with indepth dialog must be hand typed on ipads daily for parents to observe. There are usually maximized numbers for ratios in classrooms. This place is a money making machine. Teachers are paid very little and the owners maximize on the connection between over utilizing teachers and having a high tuition.
