Pros
Pros: -large company with many locations nationwide (so if you move a lot you can probably transfer locations) - good option for someone with not much experience (they are hiring just about anyone right now) -potential/ possibility to move up to management or work for the larger corporation, but you will need management experience and to be with the company for a while -most of the children and parents are really great -most of the employees are really passionate about what they do - get paid time and a half for overtime, so if you're looking to make extra money, you can usually stay longer than your scheduled hours
Cons
- toxic work environment!! - franchised, large corporation more concerned about $$ rather than the wellbeing of the children or their employees - teachers are paid low (but this is a field-wide issue) - poor management: Director is overworked and has been doing the job of 3 management positions - management means well, but also is manipulative - turn over rate of employees is extremely high (very few people last long there) - are hiring unqualified, inexperienced teachers, which makes the jobs of the qualified teachers even harder - teachers are very gossipy, constant drama - work is exhausting and draining
