Pros

Relationships are great between the staff, fun to be with kids

Cons

Management doesn't care about the staff, we're just numbers to them. They ignore the issues that make teachers quit in droves. It's exhausting. When teachers approach management they front that they're willing to accommodate and then ignore their needs. There are behaviors in so many classrooms and if the ratio doesn't justify two teachers in a room the single teacher is left struggling. The curriculum isn't age-appropriate and you're not allowed to make modifications to it. It's an exhausting place to work.

Pros

They're desperate for teachers so pay is decent

Cons

-The longer you stay the more they will put on you without increased compensation -May lower your pay rate without notice/warning -No strategy for dealing with troublesome children. You'll often have a room full of children with some who will act out, but they refuse to take the troublesome kids out so you can teach the others -Getting supplies for your class is impossible -Overcrowded classrooms (pre covid) -No sick time, terrible insurance, no appriciation.

Pros

The kids were amazing. They made me laugh everyday. You get to grow great relationships with them. Some employees are great.

Cons

There are very few “teachers” there that are qualified. Management has no real college experience with children besides the little courses we take. There were a few great teachers there. They either had degrees in teaching or were going to school for it, or they had years of experience working in a daycare setting, Management degraded these teachers by telling them what to do constantly, when they weren’t even qualified for it. They would bring teachers into the office and make them cry.
