Solid Company that can pay off if you are willing to put the time in.

Pros

Benefits package is really good. Morale is generally very high. Good job stability most of the time. Work ethic is very good. Bonuses for certain business travel.

Cons

Work long hours (typical 10). Work on Saturdays sometimes. Working far from home is extremely common (go where the work is, etc).

Pros

You are given the opportunity to work on unique projects all over the country. They pay very well, and you will most likely be higher paid than your peers. Training is a high priority in this company and you will be given multiple training opportunities your first couple of years with Kiewit. The company has a very young atmosphere with an emphasis on working hard and playing hard. Overall an enjoyable company to work with while you are young but very hard to make it a career. Long hours and constant relocation make the retention rate lower than other companies.

Cons

The job requires long hours with no compensation for overtime.
