Gain high level of construction knowledge: Planning work, claiming, P6, materials, client connections, quality, etc. Experience multiple disciplines Some jobs offer TDY & per deim Great career building

Cons

Per diem & TDY only avaliable after 3 years with the company Stock not avaliable for everyone Will get more work/roles than what is expected as a field engineer Example. most superintendents are tenured and have ample PTO they are required to spend leaving the field engineer to fill in for them when they are out. Work more than 60 hours a week, sometimes 80 in crucial periods No overtime if salary
