      A small business feel with big business benefits

      Pros

      They encourage promotions from within, great diversity, caring, fun work environment, good 401K plan, feeling like you are part of a family.

      Cons

      Medical benefits are too expensive, some management are incompetent in certain areas, reason for promotions is sometimes questionable, pay for some positions is not equal to other companies in the same city.

      Pros

      - Each Kimpton employee across the board is warm and welcoming - Manager gives me the attention I need, and when I am speaking with her, that is the most important thing to her at that time - You really can write your own career at Kimpton, company pushes for internal transfers - Great discounts on travel - Manager allows me to seek training and mentoring outside of the company

      - The company is a little decentralized

      Ability to move up within the organization. Organization hosted fun company/hotel events.

      Cons

      Management is more interested in making the Best Places to Work list than actually being a good place to work. Their employee programs are a bit of lip service.
