Pros

Mostly quality programs and ability to work with knowledgable BCBA peers. Pay is competitive for BCBA. Have clinic and home programs for a variety of experience.

Cons

Management is poorly organized, schedules poorly managed Programs are dictated by what clients can afford/what insuring provider can pay, not clinical recommendations. Technicians poorly trained or lack relevant experience

Pros

Affiliations with the BACB Working in a clinic setting The on-going training

Cons

They have been recently hiring a round of paraprofessionals to work 1-1 underneath the supervision of a BCBA about once a month. There are SO many of us Registered Behavior Technicians that there are not enough hours to go around. You are blessed if you have more than 20 hours per week. You're encouraged to spend your own money to buy reinforcers (toys) for the children to pair you with. Be prepared to be your own human resource personel. Organization is the reason 5 people quit in the last month! Pay between RBTs do not vary much. If you have more education and experience, DO NOT EXPECT to be given more pay than the person sitting next to you in training who has never heard of ABA. Mileage and gas are not tracked and therefore not compensated for! So every drive between clients (up 50 minutes sometimes) is a waste of your time and money. Driving in between clients in not considered "on the clock". But they tell you this AFTER you have been hired. Philosophies and teaching styles all vary between BCBAs. You'll work with one supervisor is very educated in one dimension only to be on a case with another supervisor (BCBA) who approach stereotypy or verbal behavior with a different approach. Throw in your 2 cents as the direct 1-1 worker? No no, you'll be hushed right away. You signed a contract with them. That you will stay for a year to pay off the lousy RBT training they provided for the credential. If you do not stay with them, they will deduct $450 out of your paycheck. This is stated in your contract upon hire but little did you know of the other short comings of this job. Did I mention you only get paid once a month and its not until two months after you have began working? Every month's pay is 2 months behind. Good luck paying your bills.

Pros

The staff are caring and love what they do. The CEO genuinely believes in the mission and has sound business sense that is also clinically driven to meet the needs of the clients while also keeping the doors open.

Cons

-People are overworked. Some people have to bill 30 hours, which is way too high. - The company is organizationally messy. BCBAs don't know if they need to report to the LPA, the clinical director, or the CEO. - The organizational communication regarding scheduling and intake is very poor.
