Pros

I’ve gotten to experience Kinderberry Hill from both the employee perspective AND parent perspective and I can honestly say I believe it’s the absolute best! If you’re looking for an early childhood career, Kinderberry only hires lead teacher qualified candidates, each teacher works 4 10 hours shifts so they get a designated day off every week, and the company has a pretty wonderful benefits package. Because teachers are lead teacher qualified they also are allowed much more freedom when it comes to lesson planning so they are not restricted to a particular curriculum but rather encouraged to create their lesson plans based on their current students’ interest (this is part of the Reggio philosophy that Kinderberry has embraced). As for the parent side of things, it is so rewarding to know my son is building such an incredibly strong foundation. He loves his school, his teachers, and his friends. Kinderberry’s all inclusive tuition covers all of your diapers and wipes along with whatever bottles and formula (if applicable) your little one uses at home. They provide organic puréed baby food and then breakfast, lunch and snack once they’re on solids. They also have some wonderful enrichment programs included in tuition and my favorite: outdoor classroom. Each class gets a full day where they do everything they would have done inside OUTSIDE. This is definitely a hit with all the kiddos! If you’re looking for employment OR looking for childcare, please check them out. You will not regret it!!!

Cons

Childcare can be a tough field to appropriately staff - you can’t have extra staff because payroll is one of the most expensive parts of running a center but if you’re down someone that position HAS to be filled. Not a company issue but an industry issue.
