LOWER PAY BUT HIGH WORKLOAD, 1:27 RATIO, most of patients are IVs, G-tube. Quit in 2 Days， Even didn't pay me for orientation. Mess management.

Pros

The few good, hardworking employyees.

Cons

Profits over people business ethic. Has earned a negative national reputation in heathcare circles. Patients' conditions more than often get worse as a long-term effect of required understaffing of clinical staff. Employees get thrown under the bus when it comes to department budgets, so again the patient care suffers. I have been repeatedly lied to by regional and corporate executives.

The division I worked for, Peoplefirst Hospice had absolutely wonderful and caring clinicians and psychosocial team members. They were done a major disservice by its (mis) management and marketing team.

Cons

A director who was out of control, unable to manage the agency. The policies of Kindred overextended to what was realistic. Very slow in becoming computerized - now mandatory for agencies, but still not fully implemented in an easily usable form. Riddled with favoritism. Benefits: could do with less junk like shopping discounts but very poor health insurance benefits (They don't take care of their own!)
