Pros

You do some good when you work there. Benefits and salary are great as well. There are some great people that you work with, who are super helpful even for the bureaucracy.

Cons

If you decide to actually do your job, you can be impeded on every turn by judges, managers and the clerk herself. It seems that all that is required of you is to type away and pretend that all the criminals are poor lost lambs who need comfort..victims don't count. Discrimination based on ethnicity and education is rampant especially among the managers.

Pros

Competitive medical/dental/eye benefits, retirement plan, dedicated employees, fairly diverse workforce, and some good supervisors. Good communication about available programs and training. Well run Employee Giving Program and many volunteer opportunities.

Cons

Low employee morale, nepotism, inconsistency, too many managers, not enough leaders. Constant stream of talent leaving. Very little diversity in the management ranks.
