Pros

Work - life balance is top notch. Very flexible. Low stress. Benefits are good. Salary is very high for the low level of output expected.

Cons

Complete lack of accountability across the organization. No urgency to accomplish work and to do it well. Senior management is scared about performance metrics, improving workflows, and using data to inform decision making. Management does not trust employees. The best work is contracted out to consultants. Vacation is poor for those just starting out and to get at the high end you have to work there your entire career. Compensation and quality of role is based on how long you have been at the organization, not the quality of your work.

Pros

Good benefits, free orca card.

Cons

Management is hostile. No training for new hires. No documentation on standard work. Disorganized approach to just about everything. You have to be in an union and have union dues docked from your pay or you can't have the job.

Pros

good pay, great benefits, friendly people, excellent parental leave policy, free transit pass, good wellness program

Cons

the culture is really stuck and fear-based, leadership doesn't want change, and many people go terribly underutilized and just waste their day at their desk. vacation PTO is not great, start accruing at 12 days a year. decisions are not made or communicated in transparent way, your work not well-tied to goals and priorities, and employees not treated as adept in their fields. they often hire outside consultants to tell them what their employees are already saying. many processes are quite political.
