Pros

What a bizarre workplace ! Forced family culture thats actually incredibly toxic. If you are someone who chooses to keep your personal life and work life separate then this place isn't for you. If you decline after hour work events you are ostracized and looked down upon, and are pressured to attend. Small company, everybody is oddly close and knows everything about each other. Not my kind of people, did not have anything in common with any of them, I was just there to work. Everybody is fake happy. No bad days allowed ! Felt like a cult, everybody was drinking the Kool Aid. Sales salaries were dependent on being fake nice to each other, I was admin staff so I didn't have to keep up this facade. Funnily enough, I heard all kinds of things being said behind peoples backs the first week I was there. Inexperienced managment (manager) It is apparent that they have had little experience managing, and working for multi faceted companies, specifically in the furniture industry. You can tell they were promoted quickly for being a smooth talker with decent looks and some charm and charisma, but lacks the actual hard skill to successfully Manage. Embarrassing office space. Tiny little room in the basement/backroom, no windows, no fresh air. Actual work was easy, however not challenging. The clientele were affluent. Many were incredibly rude and demanding, did not enjoy the customer service aspect of the role.

Cons

Inexperienced Manager, toxic workplace culture, rude clientele, bizarre co workers

Pros

I work in the showroom, and we have such a great team. We also have great connections with the staff in Head Office in Sydney, along with other showroom employees. We get paid commission for sales, but we share commission equally with whoever you work with that day. Which eliminates the “Vulture Culture” sometimes associated within the sales industry. Great incentives & people

Cons

Sometimes customers take it out on showroom staff when they have issues with their deliveries or service issues. We work very hard from a showroom level. We always try to help resolve the issue, but it can be challenging at times.

Thanks so much for the fantastic review! It’s great to hear you’re enjoying your time in the showroom and feel connected with the team across the business, including at our Design & Support Centre. We’re especially happy to hear that you've enjoyed the collaborative approach we take in rewarding our teams – that’s something we really value! We understand the challenges that can come with handling customer frustrations, especially when it comes to deliveries or service issues. Your hard work and dedication doesn't go unnoticed, and we truly appreciate everything you do to support our customers. Thanks for the feedback about improving processes – it’s very helpful, and we’re always open to hearing ways we can make things better. Keep the great ideas coming!
