Pros

great pay and experience. the systems are up to date, and you'll learn a lot about a very fast paced company and industry in general.

Cons

salaried managers are worked to death. incredibly long hours, no true lunch breaks, just eat something quickly and get back on the floor. I have worked for other large retailers in a management position and this company was by far the most demanding. I once had to attend a meeting at another location, drive back to my store, close it for the evening, and work an overnight reset. 28 hrs total. while driving home I had to keep the music up and windows down to keep from falling asleep. this is after 10 yrs in the retail management industry. also no customer service, just get the goods on the floor and try to keep the place looking acceptable. average management span at kohls is about 2 yrs,

Cons

No support to get the workload done. Plan to work long hours, and you may have to go in on your day off to accomplish goals.

Pros

Salary is good Team members are like family

Cons

Store payroll unrealistic to have such high result expectations. No work/life balance for executives. Expected to work on days off and comp days No comp days given for working extra days Work 10-14 days in a row without any time off Too much pressure put to produce credit/rewards Store Managers it in office and don't help team. They expect ASM's to do all the work and they get all the credit.
