Pros

Working for a premium brand & getting to know things about plumbing.

Cons

Not ever feeling prepared or confident in a lot of things they want employees to help customers with. Being told to fake it until I make it or be wrong strong.

We're glad to hear you appreciated your compensation package, but disappointed to learn you didn't feel supported by your HR partners. We completely agree that mental health is a very real and important part of overall well-being - our HeadsUP Business Resource Group promotes mental health awareness, education, support, and advocacy for our associates and their family and friends. We hope you had the opportunity to get involved in whatever way felt right for you! We'll be sure to pass along your comments to the team.

Engines Business

Business Outlook

Pros

Relaxed Environment, Decent Pay, Interesting Work, Generators Division is Growing

Cons

Engines division has no concrete guidance. Technical knowledge is highly lacking in upper management. Outsourcing of components is heavily emphasized and there is no desire to invest in critical processes or keep manufacturing internal. There is no trust between engineering and upper management, so resources are incorrectly distributed and outside advisors are frequently brought in. No good has come of outside advice due to the extreme complexity of the business and product. Lots of emphasis on lean principles, no attention to maintenance or technical needs. Many new leaders have no experience in engines or other highly technical manufacturers, so they cannot realize the true needs of the business or have a meaningful impact. Due to lack of trust, attention, and communication, many critical people have left and now the business is bleeding.
