Pros

I've had a great experience so far. When I started I was pretty new out of school and Konrad set me up with a senior developer who helped show me the ropes. I've learned a lot over the past year and I've gotten to work with some people who have become my friends. I've had the chance to work on monolithic builds and learn some new technologies along the way. There are all of the standard tech company perks (stocked kitchen, video games, ping pong, and beer taps etc.) that a lot of other places in Toronto have but the people are what this place awesome. The people that perform are the ones who get promoted and become leaders, not sure what the other reviews are about on here. There are some decent benefits like RRSP matching and device plans. I've had some good chats with the HR director when I needed them and she was very helpful. There is an office full of people that are there to help the employees when they need it.

Cons

Like some of the other reviews on here say, there can be tight deadlines that need to be met. It's not always the case but when it's crunch time, it's crunch time. The benefits are pretty good but they aren't mind-blowing, there's some room for improvement with things like work from home policy which some other companies offer.

Pros

- You'll work on a lot of v1's for high profile clients; great for a new graduates. - Annual ski trip, subsidized device plan, monthly game nights, beer keg, foosball and ping pong tables, and company sports teams. - Company is gaining momentum with Deloitte partnership, Brainstation acquisition, and a new coffee shop/co-working space. - Employees are fantastic, some of the best people I've worked with. Management has an eye for well-rounded individuals.

Cons

- Attention of management on the technology side is divided between Toronto and Costa Rica. Employees typically aren't aware of the open-door policy to speak to management with most feeling intimidated. Employees in the past have been fired for strongly expressing their concerns. No HR. - Run as an old boy's club (bro culture). Favouritism is rampant, be prepared to "fooz and booze"and beer pong for a promotion. - Roles are glorified, most architects there are intermediate-senior developers. I've witnessed poor technical implementations by an architect simply to avoid work. - No processes for career development, the general vibe of employees that are still there is that "they're comfortable" and okay with the status quo. If you want to hone your skills and master your craft, it will have to be on your own time.
