Pros

-Great coworkers on the Associate Consultant, Consultant, and early manager levels -Thrown into the fire which means you learn a lot and gain new skills at a rapid pace -Reasonable hours/work-life balance

Cons

-Compensation is WELL below market rate, with no transparency on future salary increases or timelines. There are also no bonuses/performance based compensation despite significant discrepancies in employee workloads. -No HR department. Whenever employees are fired (which happens often and without notice) there is no source for employees to go to for questions/support. Similarly, if anything happens on a project that would require HR advice, there is nobody to go too. -Entry level employees are put onto projects without training or any knowledge expertise and expected to "figure it out" resulting in sub-optimal deliverables to the client and an overly-stressed day to day work environment -Upper level managers are unengaged on projects and individual team management. Some, also promote a toxic office social culture of gossiping about employees, creating a sense of discomfort among their team members -Client projects can be antiquated and you get no say on what you're assigned to or for how long you'll be on it

Good to start, too much nepotism

Pros

Good starting salary, friendly coworkers, variety of projects, $1000 in yearly technology or travel expenses, some very experienced and amazing teammates, interesting activities for younger people, a lot of activities outside of work to be part of, team building that allows to use $40, 2 weeks of work from anywhere

Cons

Slow salary increase and just a few bucks, they dont pay extra hours but always want you to give your 150%, way too much nepotism (If you don't socialize and become close friends with high Tech Leads and Operations, you won't get recognized or rewarded for anything), hybrid with 2 days of obligated in-office work, higher ups leave office early or don't go but they want you to go every office day even in emergencies, chain of responsabilites is horrible (Some PMs don't care what you explain, tech leads estimate horrible some tasks and blame others for their errors, managers are way too busy to hear your opinion or project related problems, but this depends on your manager), HR doesn't exist (They're called Operations and only do basic stuff like planning parties and social media management), party and drinking culture, Canada team leads usually don't care about Costa Rican team members, they have a lot of wrong people who either don't know their stuff or are just too lazy on higher up positions, they don't care about what you applied or you want to do with you career they will want to make you a "fullstack developer" which just means you're not actually specialized on nothing and most probably you will just end up being an AEM developer with outdated documentation, work from anywhere is very limited to your manager approving it, they always remove 3 days from your yearly vacations because of a required "Office Shut Down" in the last few days of the year, in general they seek their employees to overwork for the least amount of monetary exchange and almost no motivation
