Pros

The culture at Duff & Phelps is great. The people are friendly and very helpful for someone starting their career. It is a steep learning curve and you get thrown onto projects immediately upon being hired, which creates a great learning environment.

Cons

Analysts and seniors tend to work long hours and are not compensated with big bonuses like other finance firms. That makes it feel like you are not rewarded for giving your best effort to the firm.

Pros

Good variety of clients and some bright colleagues. Generally willing to support relevant training programs. Colleagues from a variety of interesting backgrounds.

Cons

Characterless back-office atmosphere. People were nice enough, but it was run very much as a generic corporate. Long hours expected. Compensation is quite low relative to some competitors and relative to the number of hours put in.
