Pros

I loved working with Limited Brands because we had alot of freedom within the company when it came to design. We were looking to the newest trends. The design studio was laid back and very welcoming. I enjoyed the benefits of working for a corporate company because we had access to all the tools that we needed to get our job done in the studio.

Cons

Most of the people are working on a free lance basis and are not receive company discounts or benefits.

Pros

Some very strong people to learn off of in planning. Many unique perspectives and many different experiences from around the industry. Company is trying to improve the work/life balance image problem it has had for so many years.

Cons

Company founded by a merchant is completely merchant run. Partnership is a word that is used often, but is practiced little. Because the company has been successful for a number of years, change is very difficult. Also, tough to get noticed for doing a good job unless you are good at self promoting to the right people.

Pros

Good company to learn about fast paced, agile retail operations; organization tries to stay close to customers and store associates by regular visits to its stores; many hard working, mostly younger employees; very quick turn around on decisions that directly impact the business; decent salary and benefits; high involvement in giving back to the community (United Way, food drives, off-sites helping local charities)

Cons

Employees are not always treated in a way that feels right; very high turn-over rate; culture of poor work/life balance; lack of long term strategy, most actions are tactical; many activities seem driven by the need to make changes for change sake rather than by data or a vision supporting a strategy; a lot of time, effort and money is spent on executing the chairman's ideas, nobody seems to be able to push back
