Pros

With a large company you get great pay, and have a good HR to deal with employee isssues

Cons

They have pretty much taken away our holidays, the benefits cost more this year than last year, they also don’t fill hours well. I am supposed to be full time but they haven’t given me more than 27 hours a week for the last 6 months.

Pros

You're paired with a knowledgeable BCBA and get to work with cute kids. The BCBAs will try to work with and support you as much as possible. Your schedule is aligned with whatever availability you can take on. Communication between you and BCBAs or management is open for personal changes and work progress but depends on you.

Cons

The job is not for everyone, if you don't have the empathy or patience to work with children, especially ones with ASD, then this job is not for you. BCBAs will support you as much as they can but will not always be there for you to lean on, especially if you don't have proper training or some innate ability to be able to work with the kids - there is only so much they can do and will let you off the case if you can't handle the workload. The training is a two week zoom course that you listen to lectures and write down notes - not very hands on until you work with the clients.

The kids, coworkers, and direct supervising staff.

Cons

The management is horrible. LEARN bought out our company a year ago and things have been downhill ever since. Their communication is TERRIBLE. They will talk circle around everything. Never have a clean answer for anything. They go back on their word. Constantly default you to someone else when you have a question. They are trying to tell us how to run our center but they have never. been to our center. They have never observed any of our clients but yet still dictate how things are done. We had iPads that worked wonderfully. They took them away to make us use cheap tablets that do not work and make it impossible to take accurate data. There are so many things about this company that need to be improved but they do not listen to nor do they care about those who are directly affected.
