Pros

Good people working there in a market that's growing.

Cons

This has to be the worse work environment. The nepetism with in the leadership is unbelievable. Their children, long time friends and old colleagues can do nothing wrong and no one else can do anything right. Work life balance is horrible. Late night calls with Korea nightly and long days at the office. Managemetn doesn't care about the work life balance at all.

Pros

Battery packs - One of the few growth areas in the automotive industry. Good benefits, hardworking, talented people. Lot of opportunities to broaden your background

Cons

Not enough resources, salary is below market rates. Company relies too heavily on "contract/temp" resources. Poor planning and lack of proper infrastructure for an automotive supplier.

Pros

LG Chem is a global leader in lithium ion battery technology. The benefits are pretty good. Very diverse. The company hires a disproportionate amount minorities and females (compared to the demographic makeup of the company's location).

Cons

The company is micro-managed from across the world. If you work at a U.S. branch of the company you will be treated as a second-class employee. If you are female, you will be treated as a second-class employee. The American management is good, however, the American management only has so much power. Lower-level factory worker hires even need to be approved by HQ in Korea. It is difficult to get things done or improve the product/production when every detail is micromanaged from across the world.
