Pros

- Opportunity to wear multiple hats - Talented designers and developers - Decent benefits (not to be confused with compensation)

Cons

- Korean management style does not mesh well with US based employees - Lack of vision and leadership - Essentially a satellite office for LINE (and Naver) to make half-hearted attempts to enter the US market without caring to understand the US market (demographics + marketing) - Office feels like a factory at times. Imagine headphones and crickets - No upward mobility. Don't expect huge raises - although bonuses aren't terrible While I've listed quite a few reasons I did not enjoy working in the LINE US office, I believe it mostly stems from my background as an English speaking American employee. If you speak Korean, enjoy the Korean work culture, love the LINE & Naver brands, and don't mind switching projects frequently, then you will probably enjoy working in the LA office.

Pros

Line provided good benefits as well as competitive pay for the job that I was assigned to do. Management was very friendly, and the work environment in general was very positive.

Cons

I was notified very abruptly of when I would be terminated. They claimed to have hired too many people for the temp job and just let me go via email on a random day.

Pros

Nothing. I just need to fill this space up.

Cons

For a small company that only has one store in the U.S the employee turn over rate is high. Employees can get fired for no reason and sometimes without notice. There is so much drama that goes on behind closed doors that it feels like its high school everyday. Or you're treated like you're in high school by managers and cooperate. They will take away your benefits and then ask why their employees no longer care or work hard anymore. And if they are working hard its because the managers threaten them for looking at the cameras to make sure you are busy even on a slow day. The customers will do everything and anything to pick fights with you because they love playing "the customer is always right" method and will not back down. Or they are just rude and want to take out their bad energy onto you. The worst part is there is an assortment of sexual harassment that goes unreported. When it is reported the higher ups want to keep things quiet because they dont care about the safety of their staff. And favoritism.
